How much work can I expect?

The test for learner drivers has developed into a 40 minute test, requiring a high standard of driving.  This is to improve road safety, and reduce the number of accidents.  On average, pupils now require at least two hours of professional lessons for every year of their age, plus home practice.

Further areas of work include Fleet and Corporate training, the Police Driver Correction Scheme, and the new Taxi Driver test.

With approximately 1 million new learner drivers each year, and no significant increase on the approved driving instructor [A.D.I (cars)] register, there has never been a better time to join the industry.
